Played around with Midjourney v4 a little today. It might come in handy for some concept work. It's definitely got the Artstation style down.

This is where it all started. Back in 2012 I made this candelabra model as a low poly, hand painted game asset and uploaded it to 3DOcean for sale. Now I'm revisiting it to create a PBR version. Sculpt is done. Next will be the lowpoly, then the texturing with substance.
Tested out the latest iteration of the eyelash mould today and it was a complete... failure. The silicone is just too soft and gets stuck in there and tears during removal. So it was back to the drawing board. The last set of moulds was super time consuming to make so this time I tried taking some shortcuts. Here is the eyebrow mould. Will try printing it tomorrow. See how fits together and casts.
Planned to play around with stable diffusion a little this weekend to get a hands on understanding of what's possible in terms of character design... but the installation process put me off. Went for en easy option for mac: "Diffusion Bee" but it does not seem to be able to load custom models. Always throws an error message and it has a super limited prompt text size. Looking at discord there seem to be some hacky ways to get around it but thats not something I feel like spending time on right now. Will likely need to go through the cumbersome installation process for the web ui to yield usable results and train a model... or try midjourney.
A new study has been published detailing a new approach to utilize epigenetics to extend the lifespan in aged mice significantly and rewind the aging clock. Here is a video summary. If this is the real deal it is a huge step towards validating the information theory of aging and towards reaching longevity escape velocity.
